Tiffany Verzal was raised in rural Nebraska, and now lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband Brandon and daughter Alexis (5). After earning her degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she was a video editor and graphic designer for several nationally televised shows and documentaries. In 2008, authorities believe her daughter Alexis was the victim of shaken baby syndrome at the hands of her daycare provider in Texas. After fighting for her life in intensive care, Alexis woke from a coma with permanent disabilities. In 2009, Tiffany and her husband Brandon produced an award winning documentary, Pathways, that followed the lives of four individuals with traumatic brain injuries. Pathways inspired a $1.2 million donation from Larry the Cable Guy’s Git-R-Done Foundation that was used to build the Alexis Verzal Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital at Madonna. Tiffany continues to raise awareness for traumatic brain injury, shaken baby syndrome and child abuse. She serves on the Nebraska Brain Injury Council as well as Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital’s Board of Trustees.
